AIA Books for sale in Library
Neal Shusterman's books will be on sale during the months of February and March in the media center. Students who purchase books will be able to get them signed by the author when he comes to visit Reuther on April 25.
Meet Author in April Neal Shusterman
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Neal Shusterman at age 22 wrote a nationally syndicated humor column after graduating from college. He was the youngest syndicated columnist in the nation.
Since his debut, he has written novels, screenplays and television scripts. He has written for both the “Goosebumps” and the "Animorphs" TV series. Mr. Shusterman has adapted several of his novels for TV. He has recently written the screenplay, Pixel Perfect for The Disney Channel.
Mr. Shusterman is well-known as a storyteller. His degrees in both psychology and drama provide him with a unique background for writing. Mr. Shusterman’s novels feature believable characters involved in challenging and sensitive situations. He weaves his stories together with a sense of humor that will engage readers of all ages. I CAN MAKE HISTORY CONTEST
To celebrate Black History Month, Kroger invites Michigan students to enter its 10th annual “I Can Make History” contest. Open to all Michigan students in grades 4 through 12, students may enter original work in ART, ESSAY, MUSIC or POETRY. Kroger will award more than $80,000 in prizes to winners of the 2017 contest.
All entries must be received at CBS Radio by 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

- Identify an African American who is making history in your community or state and detail what that person is doing.
- Describe an event or person you feel has positively impacted American history during the past decade and detail what occurred as a result of that person’s actions or that event.
