8th Grade Parents ;
If your 8th grader applied for Honors Language Arts 9, placement letters are being sent home. Students should receive them over spring break. Any student who did not receive a placement letter and thinks they should have (i.e. they still would like to be in LA 9 Honors) needs to contact Mrs. Ashley Painter from RHS. Her contact information is apainter@rochester.k12.mi.us Parents or students are also encouraged to contact Mrs. Painter if they have questions about their placement recommendation. Students will receive a LA 9 Honors Contract as a part of this mailing. This contract should be returned to the main office at Reuther middle school by April 13th. Any student who wants to be placed in honors must return the contract.

Reuther Parents and Staff,
As you know, the Authors in April Banquet is April 23rd Monday evening at The Palazzo Grande Banquet Center in Shelby Township.
The only fundraiser for this special event and the AIA program is a raffle for original framed artwork by the authors, the latest Apple Watch and other great prizes.
Successful raffle sales help maintain the Authors in April annual program cost for our schools.
Please see the link below for more information and to preview the prizes!
Raffle tickets are available one for $10 or three for $15. You do not have to attend the banquet to win a raffle.
Please contact me directly by phone or email if you are interested in purchasing raffle tickets or for banquet tickets.

CRITICAL INCIDENCE TEAM SUMMARY
Student Safety--arrival & Dismissal
Come help us paint a new plow for this winter season.

The busiest times of the day are Student Arrival & Dismissal. When students are racing for the bus and parents are lined up in the loop, it is important for us all to observe the following guidelines:
As the weather changes and the mornings become darker, please be extra careful to look out for our students who are walking and riding their bikes to school. While we are fortunate to have upgrades at the intersections of Auburn/Culbertson and Culbertson/Marlowe, it is still so important for those of us dropping off or picking up students to be mindful of those students who are walking!
Student safety is always our priority – please join us in keeping all of our students safe!
- Please use the parent loop in the front or rear of the building for student drop off. Please do not drop off or pick up your student in the parking lot--this is very dangerous!
- Please do not walk in between the buses. This is extremely dangerous.
- Please do not walk or cross through the bus loop by going into the road during this time.
- Please use the sidewalks between the parking lot, drop off loop and building entrances.
