LAST CHANCE TO SUBMIT YOUR FAVORITE REUTHER MEMORY FOR THE YEARBOOK!
We've created space in the yearbook for you to share your favorite Reuther memories. Please include your name, a short summary of your favorite memory, and a photo to go with it. For example, you could say "Tailgates with my friends." All responses are due Friday, March 26. You must be signed into your RCS Gmail account to submit your memory.

​REUTHER TRACK IS COMING SOON!!!
 
Please come out and join the 2021 Reuther Track Team!!!  There are no tryouts—you are on the team.  ***6th Graders can practice with us but will not be participating in meets.
 
We are awaiting word from the MHSAA regarding track as well as our own district as we don’t have specific details regarding specific dates yet but here is what we do know….
 
*Start Date:  Sometime the Week of April 5 when we return from spring break.
 
*Times of Practices:  2:30-4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 2:30-4:00 PM Friday
 
*Meets:  Tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 3:30 PM.
 
*Pay to Participate Fee:  Only for 7th and 8th Graders.  $100 if this is your 1st or 2nd sport this year.  $55 if this is your 3rd sport this year.  If you are on the FREE Lunch program there is no fee.  If you are no the
REDUCED Lunch program the fee is $25 if it is your 1st or 2nd sport and $18.75 if it is your 3rd sport.
 
*Uniforms:  Students will purchase their own track clothing that you get to keep!   The items required for purchase is a team t-shirt, shorts, and socks.
Students may also purchase hoodies and sweatpants (optional). 
 
We are finalizing things with our uniform vendor at this time.  Students will receive an order sheet with pricing and instructions for payment during the next school week.
 
*Due Date for Uniform Ordering/Payment:  Wednesday, 3/24/21 at the end of the school day.  That way we can hand this out to the students when they return.  We have to place the order prior to going on spring break so that we are guaranteed that our order gets done in time for the start of the season.
 
*Reuther Students who are in the Virtual Campus:  Yes.  You are able to join as well.  We realize that you may be getting to practice a little later some days and that is okay.
 
*You will need to have a physical form on file and/or an MHSAA Health Questionnaire.  If you aren’t sure if you have done this please email Mr. Klak at nklak@rochester.k12.mi.us.

Does your student need a chromebook?

Rochester Community Schools provides one device per student. All students are eligible to receive a district issued Chromebook. If your child is in need of a device from the district, please use this form to setup an appointment to pick up a device from the admin building: https://form.jotform.com/203207837751153. Secondary students are expected to bring their device with them every day. If your child does not have a device to bring to school, please make an appointment to pick up a device for your child

What is a Sparkle Award?
A Sparkle Award recognizes individuals and student groups whose support of Rochester Community School students with special needs is exemplary. Love your child's bus driver? Nominate him! Is your child's para beyond compare-a? Nominate her! Every nominee will be recognized and receive a Sparkle Award at the Special Education Appreciation Evening ceremony. In addition, one nominee from each general category (i.e., Early Childhood, Middle School, Post-High School, etc.) will receive special recognition.

Who May be Nominated?
You may nominate an individual or student group who has provided service to one or more Rochester Community School students in special education this school year. Besides RCS staff you may nominate a student peer!
